The ShaoLin Kung Fu School is open for women and men. Age is not a limit in itself. First, the teacher centers his courses on physical conditioning to get the student to acquire better flexibility and to prepare the student for more difficult exercises. The student learns to be able to coordinate his movements while obtaining great precision; he learns to control his impulses, to develop his sense and to increase his self-confidence.
The adept who is evolving normally will improve his everyday life, because he will be acquiring an openness of mind that will be reflected on his physical abilities and his moral and psychic values. The basic principles of ShaoLin reside in carrying out the movements of each exercise, that are associated to one another to form a balance between the mind, the body and the soul.
There are a variety of movements in order to get every part of the body moving, from the smallest ligament to the strongest muscle, in total harmony leading to a canalization of the energy. The result is radiant health, greater joint mobility, a stimulated blood circulation and a respiratory system in excellent condition. Thus, Kung Fu martial art is therefore an external martial art, since it calls upon the individual's physical resources. Through evolution the adept is able to develop his inner energy and he will realize that it is very useful to his personal development.
Most students who pursue their training have grown through their gained experience. The Sifu varies his teaching to make the courses interesting. The most assiduous students can show their knowledge in the numerous regional and provincial competitions to which the school participates.
Sometimes, some individuals are not successful when it comes to cross these obstacles-tests, but they come back the next year to pursue their training and to try to correct the elements that made them fail. This proves the courage and the perseverance of a real adept of a martial art. All people must develop physical strength, bone development, libido, chi development and internal spirit in order to succeed.
